Poestenkill Baking Company, located in rural upstate New York, is a small artisan bakery.

All of our breads are made from the highest quality ingredients, made with the time-tested techniques of long, slow, cool fermentation, natural or yeasted leavening, patient, careful mixing to avoid over-oxidizing the doughs, 1/2 the amount of salt that most bakeries use, and baked to perfection on hot stone decks with plenty of steam.

Our products are currently available in Young's Pharmacy and General Store in Averill Park, NY. A selection of our breads are available by mail order.

The aroma of the baking bread is too wonderful for words. The taste of bread is the taste of life itself.
